Treating Eczema with Eczema Oil
If you’ve been following our Blog, I’m sure you know that I’ve struggled with eczema most of my life. I love talking about ways to treat eczema and I’m always researching natural remedies that help heal irritated skin areas that have been affected by eczema. As I mentioned in our very first blog “The Eczema Struggle” the first thing I did to help treat my itchy and irritated skin was change the laundry detergent I was using. That helped tremendously. I did a ton of research and created my very own “Lizzies All Natural Laundry Detergent” when I was in college and it was one of the very first products that I made and sold. Changing my detergent kickstarted me in the right direction to also help others who are dealing with such a serious and sensitive skin issue. This laundry detergent is handcrafted and created to lessen irritation of skin due to being made with all natural components and ingredients. Most laundry brands make their detergent using nasty chemicals such as petroleum and other synthetic man made toxins. Sea buckthorn oil which contains high amounts of omega 7 and is known for reducing inflammation plus healing burns, cuts, wounds, sunburn, rashes, and other types of skin damage.
Oat extract (oatmeal) which helps relieve irritation, soothe itchy skin and normalize the pH levels in the skin.
Fractionated Coconut oil (liquid coconut oil) which has anti bacterial, anti fungal, antioxidant and antimicrobial properties that can help soothe skin and reduce itchy flare ups.
Shea Olein (liquid shea butter) high in vitamin A which moisturizes and protects the skin. Our Shea Butter comes straight from Africa and has not been refined or processed at all. Shea Butter is rich in Vitamins A, D, E, and K which have a recognized effect on skin aging. Shea Butter is also very high in essential fatty acids, more than any other vegetable butter. These fatty acids are oleic, stearic, linoleic, and palmitic acid. They play a very important role in moisturizing, softening, and anti-inflammatory.
Safflower Oil is full of linoleic acids to help maintain the integrity of the outer layer of your skin to prevent skin from flaking.
Black Seed Oil which can heal your skin and it’s rich in antioxidants. Black seed oil is loaded with three natural components: thymol, thymoquinone, and thymohydroquinone. These components are responsible for the oil’s ability to fight viral, bacterial, and fungal infections. By curing the infections, black seed oil treats skin diseases such as eczema, dermatitis and rashes etc. The same components also have the ability to reduce inflammation of the skin and in cleansing of the pores. It also helps soothe inflammation and improve the speed and which skin heals.
Another awesome addition is that our eczema oil comes in 3 different scents. Lavender, Eucalyptus, and Unscented. My personal favorite is the Eucalyptus. The scent is refreshing and eucalyptus has a lot of aromatherapy health benefits.
