7 Tips for Healthy Skin in the Summer
Hello you guys, it's been awhile...and this summer has been overwhelmingly hot already, keeping your skin happy this summer is a must. Here are 7 tips that I follow, and I figured i'd share for those wanting to keep their skin healthy and hydrated this summer season.
1. Don't Skip Sunscreen: Sunscreen is a must-have during the summer months. Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and reapply every 2 hours, especially if you're spending time outdoors. Consider mineral sunscreens for a natural alternative. 2. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out. Dehydration can lead to dull, dry skin, so aim to drink at least 8 glasses of water daily. Also, be aware of the water you drink, try to stay away from tap water and purified water as much as possible. Instead, go for alkaline water or spring water which are 2 of the best types to drink (do the research and thank me later)...you'd be surprised what's really in your water! You can also incorporate hydrating foods like watermelon, cucumbers, and leafy greens into your diet.
3. Avoid Harsh Exfoliation: While exfoliation is essential for removing dead skin cells, opt for gentle exfoliants like fruit enzymes or mild exfoliants like our natural sea sponge in the summer. Harsh exfoliation can strip your skin of its natural oils and lead to increased sensitivity under the sun.
